TransClinicIndex collates and publishes publicly available data obtained from NHS organisations via Freedom of Information requests and official publications.
This site does not provide medical advice, prioritisation guidance, or individual waiting time predictions.
NHS gender identity services commonly report waiting times using statements such as “patients referred in a given month and year are currently being offered appointments.” While helpful, this does not provide a clear indication of how many people are waiting, how quickly the list is moving, or the scale or trajectory of the waiting list facing newly referred patients.
TransClinicIndex aims to provide more informative waiting list estimates by combining publicly available information with data obtained through Freedom of Information requests, including referrals, appointment activity, discharges, and waiting list snapshots.

These indicators are intended to complement official reporting, not replace it. All assumptions are documented, and figures may be revised as new data becomes available.
